We met as undergraduate students at Towson University in fall 2019.
We spent our first date together in Washington D.C. at the National Gallery of Art and American History Museum. It was a chilly, overcast day and we enjoyed walking around the National Mall.
We got engaged on August 27th at the FDR Memorial in Washington DC.
We had a private elopement with our immediate families on April 26th. We exchanged private vows at Shenandoah National Park on May 15th.
We spent a week and a half traveling around Southeastern & Southcentral Alaska! We cruised from Vancouver, BC to Whittier, AK over the course of a week and visited Ketchikan, Juneau, Skagway, Glacier Bay National Park, and College Fjord. We then traveled down to Seward and visited Kenai Fjords National Park before heading up to Anchorage for our departure. We had the most incredible time in Alaska and would go back in a heartbeat!
We knew we never wanted a big wedding and from the beginning of our relationship that we wanted to elope. Although untraditional, we are happy with our decision because it allowed us to intimately enjoy our wedding and put our money towards an incredible honeymoon!
Given that our initials are MMM and CCC, we are not changing our names to keep our triple initials!
In the next year, we hope to save money to buy a house and travel to visit family, friends, and see new places. Our goal is to lay down permanent roots in Maryland and adjust to our new life together.
