We're getting married!

We met through a mutual friend in 2015. Just a simple introduction, nothing too interesting. After a couple of hang out sessions with the same mutual friend and circle of friends, we started to take a little more interest in each other. We eventually exchanged numbers and decided to go on an official date. It was a very casual, fun date, starting with a few games of pool at a local bar, before heading over to our ongoing favorite sushi restaurant for some delicious rolls! After dinner we decided to catch a late movie, neither of us ready to call it an early night. We've been inseparable ever since!

It was the week of the NC State Fair and we were spending our fourth fair trip together. We have been going to the fair every year since we met. Our tradition being eating as much crappy, but awesome food as we wanted, watching the pig races, and getting a caricature drawing of the two of us. We have become quite fond of our annual caricature drawings and plan to keep that tradition going for years to come! Back to the story, we arrived around 12pm ready to eat ourselves sick and carry on our usual routine. After the pig races, we decided to do some site seeing before going to sit for our caricature drawing. We are not fans of the questionable fair rides but this year Mike decided that we needed to take a ride on the ferris wheel. After waiting in line for what felt like forever, we finally climb aboard, our cab slowly creeping upward as more people are loading in behind us. Once we reached the very top Mike shifted from his seat beside me, catching me off guard, and attempted (successfully) to get down on one knee in that limited cab space and asked me to marry him. I was completely stunned at first but quickly recovered and of course I said "YES!" Neither of us really even remember the ferris wheel ride, but we will always cherish our caricature drawing we received afterwards to commemorate our special night!
