Brittany and Josh met while working in the Emergency Department at Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C. where Brittany worked as a nurse and Josh as a patient experience liaison. Josh left D.C. in 2018 to begin medical school in Pennsylvania so Brittany and Josh stayed together long distance.

Josh, Emma, and Ashley surprised Brittany with a proposal at the National Arboretum in Washington, D.C. with the help of some patrons of the park. One of Brittany and Josh's early dates was at the National Arboretum, Washington D.C. in late 2017.

Brittany graduated from Nurse Practitioner school in May 2021, Josh will graduate from medical school in May 2022. Josh will be applying for residency with the Army in fall 2021 and the couple will be relocating in the spring of 2022 to wherever his residency will be. Adventure awaits!
