We'll try to keep it short. In 2016, Nick posted on Craigslist that he was looking to fill the empty room upstairs (preferably with a single male). Kate responded, and ended up moving in. *insert the long version here* They were just friends (really), helped each other navigate the ups and downs of dating, and enjoyed spending time at home together with the kids. After a little over a year, Kate felt unsure of staying in the city, and decided to move back to TN for a few months, and planned on moving to LA with a friend at the end of the summer. Nick kept in touch, and after a while, Kate realized that her feelings for him were beyond those of a regular friendship. She tried to drop hints and he tried to play it cool, wondering if she was actually dropping hints or if he was completely misreading the situation. After a few months apart, they finally confessed to each other that the feelings were mutual, and ended up buying plane tickets to a halfway point for a real date by the end of that week. As soon as they saw each other again, there were fireworks. It wasn't long before Kate was headed back to San Francisco, and Nick was clearing out the closet for her downstairs. 5 years, a move, and a dog later, they are excited to tie the knot and as they continue their joyful journey together.
