A few years ago, I fell in love with a young woman whom would become my best friend, my confidant, my fiancé, and soon....my Wife. She has stood by me through the good and the bad. She is the best half of me, and she has treated me like a king. She has left me notes to pick me up when I’m having a bad day, she helps calm me when I’m beyond angry at the world. Even throughout my injury, she took care of my gimpy butt. I try my hardest to treat her like a queen. It was the happiest day of my life when she said yes.

The middle child of Shari Savoie-Bowen, Heather Nevil is Sarah’s older sister and best friend. She is Sarah’s person, and both probably know more than each other’s spouse/future spouse about each other. Maid of honour did not fit the importance of her sister on this day, only “Chief” was a fitting title for Heather, because the honour is being her little sister.

Oldest Child of Shari Savoie-Bowen, and oldest sister of the bride..Jamie is sarah’s second Bridesmaid and one of her closest friends especially as she grew up. Few people mean more to the bride than her sisters and it wouldn’t be right with Jamie at her side.

Jarrod and Robert met at the Quinlan Fire department. He was actually the one responsible for Jarrod and Sarah’s start. Robert and Sarah were friends since middle school, both owe Robert more than they can repay him for and both couldn’t imagine their day without him up there with them.

Wesley and Sarah go back all the way to her Freshman year when they met. They were best friends very quickly. Wesley took to watching over her well being and quickly became a member of her family. It’s safe to say other than Jarrod, Wesley is sarah’s best and closest guy friend and he’s watched over her like a protective brother. While sharing a birthday, military service and certifications with the groom, it goes without saying the two men became friends quickly when they met. Both holding a strong respect for the other for how much they guard the Brides well being, and both being as goofy as they are, that friendship formed very quickly. You could easily assume them brothers if the military didn’t keep the group of friends a whole time zone apart.

David is a professional photographer who is one of the best you can get for your big day. David and Sarah first met when she was one of his student when he first began at QISD during her 4th grade year. He was once again her teacher in high-school before he left to pursue his joy for photography. When he met Jarrod, it did not take long for him to see why Sarah was so set on him being their photographer and why she “wouldn’t shut up about his talent and how kind he was”(sarah has kept up periodically with his wife who was also her teacher a beloved friend)...and as a man who doesn’t make decisions lightly, it took less than 10 minutes after their meeting for him to decide David was the perfect fit. Learning that David Cheney would be their photographer was a dream come true for Sarah.

Dena has been like another mother to sarah. Being friends her multiple children, Sarah has spent countless days and nights with Dena. So it goes without saying for engagement photos and some more intimate photo sessions, Dena is the perfected photographer for the trust and relationship needed to take on this task. Who doesn’t trust their mom with everything, right?!
