We're getting married!

Charles proposed on June 4, 2024 at Lake Louise as part of a "hike" in Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada.

It was a Monday in early October 2022 in Lewisburg, West Virginia. Ashley was walking her roommate's golden retriever, Mia, to the open field where she would usually run off-leash each afternoon. Upon getting there, Mia took off and headed straight for Charles, who was walking on the opposite side. Ashley chased after her and apologized. They talked for awhile, then went their separate ways, not knowing they would cross paths nearly every day after that, and certainly not knowing that this one encounter would lead to walking alongside each other for all of the days to come.
