Byanka: "Our first date was on September 1st, 2015. I had started working at UCFCU in June, fresh out of college. I only knew him as 'Anthony from the credit union' and didn't realize he was actually funny. He always seemed so uptight from the other side of the glass. For my birthday, he offered to treat me to a drink. That was in July and it definitely wasn't a date. I was just trying to crack him because I didn't think he liked me. Time passed and to return the favor, I offered to take him out for his birthday. During that dinner, we talked. Like, really talked. And somehow we got on the topic of dating. So I told him, 'This is not a date. You haven't asked me out on a date.' Finally, he did it. Our first date was the next night when we had tacos, watched Southpaw, and awkwardly ran into his Titi Maria, Tio Chino, and Titi Tita, where apparently they were in the same theater. That was our first date." Anthony: "I had been working with Byanka for a few months. I had a feeling she was interested in me. Time had passed and her birthday was approaching. Last minute, we went out to a local restaurant as a birthday treat. It was a quick dinner with brief conversation. None of us thought it was a date, at least I think. Time passed again and my birthday was approaching. She insisted on going out to dinner. We had a great time with great conversation. I can tell we were both interested in each other. I was suggesting that we go the movies and she stood quiet. She stated I was missing something. After guessing wrong a few times, I gave up and asked what I have missed. She said I did not officially ask her out on a date. I officially asked her out to the movies and she has been my soulmate ever since. I believe that dinner was our first date. We definitely connected and had a great time. There was a 'date vibe' the whole night. In the end, I am sure she is always right but I will not admit it."
