You will catch us in here at least once a month! This little gem in Geneva offers a taste of Michigan, with a wide selection of delicious wines. They have wine tasting, flights, and by the glass options. They also feature Michigan whiskey and make cocktails for those that are not fans of wine. We absolutely love the staff here! If you stop in, let them know you are here for Savanah and John's wedding :)
Pottawatomie Park is a beautiful park along the Fox River in St. Charles, Illinois, that offers a glimpse into the past. The park's charming outdoor pavilion, a nod to the area's early settlers, is a beautiful spot to relax by the river. The park has activities like mini-golf and watercraft rentals. Walk over to downtown St Charles and grab a bite and drink Alter Brewing that has a great view of the river.
Cantigny is a 500-acre park in Wheaton, Illinois. It is the former estate of Joseph Medill and his grandson Colonel Robert R. McCormick, publishers of the Chicago Tribune, and is open to the public. Just $15 per car for entry. You can walk around the park that includes many gardens or visit the First Division Museum. The museum includes an outdoor collection of military tanks known as "Tank Park".
Our other favorite brewery! This brewery is on the Fox River in Batavia and they feature a wide variety of beers. Savanah's favorite is their hefeweizen when they offer it. The building is really neat - it dates back to the 1800s and was once an Orchestra House.
3rd Street in Geneva, IL is home to some of our favorite restaurants, cocktail bars, and shops. Some of our favorites eats: Barrell and Rye, The Alchemist, Grahams Chocolate and Ice Cream Shop, Ella's, Preservation, and Burger Local. Our favorite shops: Grow (the cutest plant shop), The Little Traveler, and Midwest Nice. Cutest little town ever!
If you are looking for an iconic stop in the city, our favorite place to go to is Wrigley! Even if you don't have tickets for a game, it is still worth going. There are tons of fun restaurants!
One of our favorite things to do in the city AND it has free admission! We went last summer and saw their new lion habitat and it was so cool. After you're done, we highly recommend going to cool down at J Parker - a rooftop bar that has the most amazing view of the city and lake.
