On average, January temperatures in Austin are lows of 41°F and highs of 61°F, with very low chances of rain. The temperature should begin to drop shortly after the ceremony begins. Although the venue will have heaters, since the ceremony and a majority of the reception will be outside, we highly advise dressing accordingly (layers, layers, layers).
The grooms have reserved a block of rooms at the Hyatt Regency Austin. Select the "Travel" tab for more information. If you are unable to reserve one of these rooms, fortunately, there are many hotel options near the venue as well as homes for rent on Airbnb and Vrbo.
Austin-Bergstrom International Airport (AUS) is located about 30 minutes from the venue and an even shorter drive from Downtown Austin. We suggest that most out-of-towners fly into this airport. Once in Austin, Ubers and other ride-shares can bring you anywhere you'd like to go. They also drop off/pick up at the wedding venue regularly, so catching a ride to and from the wedding shouldn't be an issue.
Due to the venue’s limited space, we are unable to accommodate children and plus ones. Unless a person is mentioned explicitly in your invite (and online RSVP), we cannot accommodate them. The wedding venue has minimal space, and although we would love to see your children and significant others, we don’t have the space for additional guests.
We ask that you submit your RSVP by December 1st, 2024. We will assume that you will not be attending if you do not submit your RSVP by this date. If you forget to RSVP by then, contact us via our personal phone numbers or wedding email (loganandmichaelswedding@gmail.com) to let us know that you plan to attend. We will let you know if we are able to squeeze you in.
If you have a dietary restriction, contact us via our wedding email (loganandmichaelswedding@gmail.com). Expect the dinner to include 2 meat entrées (steak and chicken) with several sides and appetizers (all of which are vegetarian or vegan). We can attempt to make accommodations for those who make us aware of their dietary restrictions in advance.
The wedding is Cocktail Attire. Generally this means a guest should wear a suit and tie or a cocktail dress. This type of attire falls between formal and business casual, finding a happy medium between stylish and comfortable. For dress-wearers, most style dresses are acceptable. While we wouldn't suggest full-blown ball gowns, we would love for you to look elegant and stylish, while remaining comfortable. Any cocktail dress is acceptable, but keep in mind that you are more than welcome to wear pant suits or wide-legged pants with a nice top. Where whatever stylish shoes you are comfortable in. While heels look nice, remember that much of our venue is located outdoors, so flats may be a better choice. For men, a suit and tie is customary. The outfit usually consists of the same colors suit jacket and pants with a crisp button up shirt. Most people opt for darker colors like black, grey, or navy. Ties are optional but suggested. Nice shoes like derbies, oxfords, monkstraps, or loafers are suggested; as long as you don't show up in flip-flops or sneakers, we'll be happy. There are a lot of websites that help clarify what cocktail attire means, so feel free to do your own research. If you still aren't positive about an outfit, feel free to reach out to us with questions.
