Question

Is there a dress code for the wedding?

Answer

Yes! We kindly ask all guests to dress with reverence and respect for the sacredness of the presence of Jesus in the church. Here is a dress code for the Wedding ceremony in the context of the Mass: Ladies: Dresses or skirts should be at least knee-length Shoulders should be covered (a shawl or jacket is perfectly fine!) Please avoid low-cut or tight-fitting outfits Gentlemen: Please wear formal attire (dress pants, button-down shirts, jackets encouraged) No jeans, shorts, hats, or sandals inside the church We want this to be a joyful and reverent celebration that honors the presence of Christ in the Eucharist and the sacredness of the sacrament. Your cooperation helps us maintain an atmosphere of grace and respect for everyone present.

Question

Im Catholic but have not been to mass in a while, what do I do?

Answer

During Communion, we ask that only practicing Catholics in a state of grace receive the Eucharist. Others are warmly invited to remain seated in prayer or come forward for a blessing with your arms crossed over your chest.

Question

How long will the Mass take?

Answer

60-75 minutes. We will be celebrating a full Novus Ordo Mass.

Question

I'm not Catholic, what do I do?

Answer

All are welcome to join us in celebrating. Simply listen, follow along as best you can, and know that nobody is there to judge you! Please keep a reverent silence at all times during the duration of the Mass. When it comes to Communion, we ask that only practicing Catholics in a state of grace receive the Eucharist. Others are warmly invited to remain seated or come forward for a blessing with their arms crossed over their chest. There will be pamphlets to help guide you through the mass as well!!

Question

Can I have my phone out to take pictures during the wedding?

Answer

No. Please refrain from taking photos, videos, or using devices during the Mass. We’ve arranged for professional photographers who will respectfully capture the day, so you can be fully present with us in prayer! The Catholic Church teaches that the Eucharist is the source and summit of our faith, and we want to give our full hearts and attention to Christ and the sacred vows being exchanged!
