FAQs & Tips for the Weekend

Question

Do you have a hotel block for guests?

Answer

We are hosting all guests on site. You do not need to find or book your own accommodations.

Question

Do I need a Visa to travel to Italy?

Answer

If you're traveling within Europe, you do not currently need a Visa. This is expected to change at the end of 2025. We will contact our guests if this changes before the Wedding. If you're traveling from the US, you do not currently need a Visa for travel under 90 days. This is expected to change at the end of 2026. We will contact our guests if this changes before the Wedding. For more information about visas, please visit the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) https://travel-europe.europa.eu/en/etias

Question

Do I need to update my passport?

Answer

Check the expiration date of your passport. Many countries and airlines require a passport to be valid for at least six months beyond the date of your trip. To accommodate processing times, we recommend renewing at least 9 months before your passport expiration date.

Question

Answer

For our Italian wedding, we encourage you to embrace "dolce vita" style with rich colors and bold prints! Please note that we do request guests to kindly wear blue and white for our post-wedding pool party. Thursday Welcome Party: Yacht Chic - Elegant and relaxed. Airy fabrics. Cocktail or maxi dresses for women. Polo shirt or button down with dress pants or chinos for men. Friday Wedding Festivities: Black tie - Elegant and sophisticated. Floor length gown or formal cocktail dress for women. Tuxedo and bow tie for men. Saturday Pool Party & Barbecue: Blue and white resort wear - Sophisticated and relaxed. Flowy dresses, skirts, or light pants for women. Polo shirts and printed shirts with shorts or light pants for men. Swimwear encouraged. We kindly request guests to wear blue and/or white colors.

Question

What shoes should/shouldn't I wear?

Answer

We plan to have all events outside either on grass or gravel. If you'd like to wear heels, we recommend block heels or heel protectors with a larger base. Please feel free to bring comfortable shoes for dancing at our wedding reception!

Question

What will the weather be like? Will we be outside?

Answer

August in Verona will be hot, sunny and humid. Average temperatures are around 27–29°C/81–84°F during the day and 16–19°C/61–66°F at night. The weather is generally sunny. We plan to have all events outside, but we do have indoor contingency options if need be.

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your little ones, we've decided to keep our wedding an adults-only event to allow everyone, including parents, a weekend of relaxation and celebration. We hope you can still join us!

Question

Can I bring a date?

Answer

We would love to share our special day with as many people as possible, but due to venue restrictions, we are unable to accommodate plus ones for every guest. Please check your formal invite for your +1!

Question

What do I do if I have a dietary restriction?

Answer

Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions that we should be aware of in your RSVP. You're also welcome to reach out to us personally.

Question

Will meals be included?

Answer

Breakfast is complimentary every morning. The only meal that is not formally scheduled is lunch on Friday, the day of our wedding, as we encourage guests to explore Garda and Verona. We will provide light bites that day for those who wish to remain on site.

Question

What amenities are included in our rooms?

Answer

Each room is equipped with Wi-Fi, telephone, safe, private bathroom with a bidet and a hairdryer, TV with satellite channels and smart TVs, minibar, heating and air conditioning, desk, and wardrobe.

Answer

Please RSVP by March 31st

Question

Do I need a special license if I'm renting a car?

Answer

If you’re a non-EU citizen that would like to rent a car in Italy, it’s essential to hold an International Driver’s Permit. The Italian car rental might not ask for it, but it is required by law that you have one, and it may be requested during a police check. An International Driver’s Permit costs just 15 USD and is valid for one year.

Question

Is there parking at the Villa?

Answer

Yes! There is a large private parking lot exclusively for the Villa.

Question

Is there a gift registry?

Answer

As you are traveling to great lengths to celebrate with us, your presence is the greatest gift. Just bring your company, your appetite for authentic Italian food, and your dancing shoes! However, if you do wish to surprise us with a gift, a contribution towards our honeymoon would be most appreciated. For those who insist, we have put together a wish list.
