He swiped right and so did she! We met on the dating app, Tinder, and after weeks of Jose trying to convince Stephanie to go out, we finally met. Our first date was in Chinatown at Joy Yee, where we shared a few dishes and our favorite bubble tea. After the date, we knew that we wanted to see each other again and instantly made plans for the next weekend. It turns out, we couldn't wait that long and saw each other three days later, and pretty much every day after that.

We were in Mexico City visiting Jose's family for a week and exploring the city. On our last night, we went out to a beautiful dinner at Chambao in Polanco with Tio Carols, Tia Rosa, and Prima Claudia After dinner, champagne was ordered and brought to the table. The waiter served us both and Jose looked at me and said "Cheers". I thought it was strange that we were the only ones to have drinks but went ahead and was ready to take a sip. Jose stopped me and said, "look in the glass". I looked down and in the glass of champagne amongst the bubbles was something sparkling. I immediately knew what was happening, and the tears started flowing. The waiter removed the ring from the glass and handed it to Jose who then got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I of course said, "YES"! The whole restaurant cheered and celebrated with us. It was the perfect night! We are so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with all of you!
