Flight
Chicago O'Hare International is located on the northwest side of the city. Flights from all major airlines, with the exception of Southwest Airlines, land at O'Hare. Depending on the time of day, it's about a 30-45 minute ride to downtown Chicago from O'Hare. Downtown is also very easily accessible from the Blue Line CTA train that picks up in the lower level of the airport and leads directly to the Chicago Loop. It's approximately 45 minutes from O'Hare to the downtown area via train.
Flight
Should your travel plans include Southwest Airlines, you will fly into Chicago Midway Airport. Midway, the smaller of the two airports, is located southwest of Chicago. Midway is a bit closer to downtown, being about 15-25 minutes away. You can also consider public transportation via the CTA Orange Line. The Orange Line picks up from the airport -- the station is a short walk, with marked signs, along the outer edge of the parking garage. It takes about 25 minutes to reach the downtown area via train.
Train
For our friends and family based in the Midwest, Amtrak offers train services into Chicago Union Station. There are frequent daily departures between Chicago and key cities in the five-state area, including Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri and Wisconsin. The "Empire Builder" is a featured Amtrak route with service from Minneapolis / St. Paul, passing through cities such as La Crosse, Northeast Madison & Milwaukee en route to Chicago.
Rental Car
Lyft and Uber are popular rideshare options in Chicago. Both would be great options for getting to and from Salvage One. We use both services regularly and have never had any issues.
