Emily and Tony met on a dating app called Hinge. At the time, Emily was living in Lake Orion; Tony was living in Toledo, Ohio. It was Emily's first year of teaching in Clarkston, and Tony was in his second year of Medical School. They had their first date at Plymouth Orchards in October of 2021. Emily and Tony went on several more dates and made it official on January 16th, 2022. They made many memories during shared weekends together. Emily and Tony enjoyed trying new restaurants, exploring new places, going to sporting events, and just relaxing. Their summers involved soaking up the sun in the pool or kayaking, traveling up north, going to baseball games, attending weddings, and family get-togethers. During the fall, Emily and Tony loved apple picking, pumpkin patches, visiting cider mills, watching football, and going to tailgates of course. Fast forward to Tony's Match Day in March 2024. This day will forever be a core memory for them as Tony matched at Corewell Health in Royal Oak! After Match, Emily and Tony went on their first trip out west and discovered their love for hiking. They searched for a house to share and have had so much fun turning their Royal Oak rental into a home. Tony began his first year of residency as Emily began her fourth year of teaching. In March 2025, Emily and Tony went on another very special vacation out west! During their second day at the Grand Canyon, Emily and Tony had plans to see the sunrise before their hike at Grandview Point. Emily and Tony wandered around until the perfect moment...when Tony asked the question! He was well prepared and hired a photographer to capture the special moment. Emily and Tony spent the rest of the day on a peaceful walk around the rim of the canyon. They found a brewery in a nearby town and enjoyed celebratory champagne and mac and cheese when they returned to their Airbnb!
