You can ask anyone that knew the two of them from 2015 - 2018, is Jack head-over-heels for Brenna? Yes. Does Jack have any chance? No. Though Brenna had heard of this “Jack Bush” guy, the two officially met practicing for the Greek dance competition Ballyhoo. Brenna was impressed by Jack’s dance moves and entertained by his goofiness, and occasional absurdity. After winning first place (video above), they quickly bonded. As Brenna was leaving to study abroad the next semester, she was confused why people kept asking if the two of them were dating. Then she noticed. Jack had randomly changed his Facebook profile picture to a photo of them saying “Go kill it abroad. We’ll make it through this, babe”. And with that, the first step in Jack’s plan was complete. Through the remainder of college, Jack became known as The Barn house boyfriend, often showing up unannounced throughout the week. Senior year, Jack & Brenna were the bride and groom in a zombie “marriage” for Minneapolis’ Zombie Pub Crawl. While this seemed like a joke to Brenna, it was never a joke to Jack. They both moved to Uptown after college and continued to hang out often. Up until this point, Brenna had always considered Jack a close friend. But for the first time, after a summer weekend at the Kaske cabin, Brenna thought maybe it could be something more. After that, Jack invited Brenna out to Young Joni, and despite what Brenna wanted to admit, it was a date. What started as close friends, blossomed into what is now a 5-year relationship. The two got their beloved red lab Nellie in 2020, moved into a condo downtown together in 2021, and purchased their first home in 2022. Jack completely surprised Brenna in July 2023 at the Minnesota Arboretum with his dad’s paperweight diamond (the same one he proposed with), a real diamond, and an unforgettable night with family & friends. - None of this would be possible without the support of all of you. We are SO looking forward to tying the knot on September 28th with all our favorite people in one place!
