FAQs

The Wedding Website of Abigail Busch and Philip Babin
The Q&A's below range from questions about the dress code to the reception questions. Any other questions you may have please feel free to reach out to either Philip or myself!
Question

How do I RSVP?

Answer

Once you get your invitation in the mail you will see the RSVP card. The card will include a stamp on the back and you will just mail that piece back with you decision.

Question

When do I need to RSVP by?

Answer

We need all RSVP's back by April 18th, 2026. We are required to give a final guest count to the venue by then and they will charge us based off that number. If you do not get your RSVP in by then I can not guarantee a space or food for you.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Unless you were specified that you were allowed to on your invitation, no. We would prefer to keep our guest lists to people we know well and we are already at capacity.

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

While we adore children, we've opted for an adults-only affair to allow everyone to relax and enjoy the celebration. We hope you understand our decision and can arrange childcare for the evening. If you have any concerns or special circumstances, please don't hesitate to contact us directly to discuss further.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We are going for more dressy casual and cocktail attire. For the girls were looking for dresses any length and any style. For shoes I do not recommend stilettos as the ceremony is on the grass. For the guys were looking for slacks, button down shirts. Any dress shoes would work. Please steer clear of tennis shoes.

Question

Is their ample parking?

Answer

The venue has a whole parking lot that is right off the main building.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

May in Florida is very hot. Usually high 80s low 90s especially during the late afternoon. The ceremony will be at 4:00 PM and outside so please keep that in mind. Our cocktail hour is half inside and outside. The reception will be inside fully so no worries with regards to heat.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will start promptly at 4:00 PM please arrive at 3:30 PM to ensure you have a seat and so you do not disrupt anything.

Question

Where is the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony is on the green grass behind the water fountain and steps. If you are coming from where you park it would be behind the building.

Question

How do I know where to sit?

Answer

For the Ceremony we will have the first two rows reserved for immediate family and specified friends. We do not have specified sides so please feel free to sit anywhere. For the Reception we have a seating chart that will be featured on a mirror and placed by the entrance for you to look over and discover where you will be.

Question

Can I take photographs during the ceremony?

Answer

While we love that you want to capture our special moments, we kindly request an unplugged ceremony to allow everyone to be fully present and immersed in the experience. Our professional photographer will be capturing all the highlights, and we'll share the photos with you afterwards. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in creating a distraction-free environment for our ceremony.

Question

What should we bring?

Answer

If you want to bring a card or gift their will be a space for you to place it at the wedding during the reception, but we do have our online honeymoon fund that we are primarily featuring as we do have everything we need for our apartment. You can find it on the website as well!

Question

What food will be offered?

Answer

For the Cocktail hour we will be offering a few displays which consists of Beef Wellington, Antipasto (Sliced Genoa salami, prosciutto, pepperoni, Italian cheeses, marinated mushrooms, artichokes, olives and pepperoncini) and a Seasonal Fruit Display. For our Reception we will be offering fresh baked bread and sweet cream butter. The food will be offered Buffet style and will feature: Traditional Caesar, Prosciutto Wrapped Asparagus, Garlic Mashed Potatoes with brown gravy on the side, Grilled Filet Mignon, and Chicken Piccata. We will have our dessert table as well with our Apple pie cake. We will feature a few cupcake options: Strawberry, Peanut Butter Chocolate, Vanilla with Chocolate icing, and a Chocolate with vanilla icing. We will also have some chocolate chip cookies and sugar cookies featured. Our guest favors are our favorite candies.

Question

Will their be alcohol?

Answer

We will have a bartender on staff, but it will be a cash bar so everyone will be responsible for their own tabs. We will be doing a champagne toast as well that is included for the toast portion. Please let us know if you do not drink and we will be sure to do a nonalcoholic toast for you!

Question

What time does the wedding end?

Answer

We will be doing a sparkler exit at 9:00 pm. We would love for everyone to stay until then to see us off.
