We're getting married!

Their story begins at Milwaukee School of Engineering where Will & Delaney both attended and played their sports. It was sophomore year over Thanksgiving break when they first started talking. Will replied to Delaney’s snapchat story of her mom’s new puppy and she immediately ran into the garage to tell her sister & dad that her crush messaged her. They continued talking over break & when they got back to school, Will took Delaney on their first date to MACS macaroni & cheese shop. They continued to talk & hang out at school for a few months before the pandemic hit and they were sent home. Summer going into junior year they both moved into apartments across the street from each other and they picked up where they left off. Will officially asked Delaney to be his girlfriend on July 11, 2020 while they were up north for the weekend with some of Will’s friends. They spent the rest of their college years studying their butts off at MSOE. In the little free time they had, they went to each other’s basketball & softball games, loved to try new restaurants, & enjoyed Milwaukee with their friends. They both graduated MSOE in 2022 and decided to stay close to each other in Milwaukee! Will got his Computer Science degree and continued to work remotely for Progressive Insurance. Delaney got her Nursing degree and started her dream job in Pediatric Oncology. Post college they spent a LOT of time traveling. Some of their favorites being Mackinaw Island, Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon, Grand Canyon, Punta Cana, Paris, the French Riviera, and many trips to Nashville. They then moved into a downtown apartment together summer of 2024. A couple months into living together they decided to welcome home their first puppy- Remi! She has added so much fun and excitement to their lives & home. After 4.5 years of officially dating, Will finally proposed! It was the best day ever. He had Delaney’s best friend Kara drive up from Chicago & surprise her at their front door on the morning of Friday, March 21. He also took her phone away for the entire day so she couldn’t check anybody’s locations… Delaney & Kara spent the day getting their nails done, picking out a dress, grabbing lunch, and then while they were out shopping she was surprised by her sister, Maddy, who flew in from TN. They then all went back to the apartment and Delaney was told to get ready. Which she did way too fast so Kara & Maddy said they could kill some time by grabbing a drink. Kara asked Delaney what the name of this new wine & cheese bar was that Delaney was telling her about a few weeks prior & asked if she wants to go there for a glass of wine before their final stop. The cheese shop is owned by Will’s family’s friends. Delaney told Kara it’s called Hill Valley Dairy and they all agreed to go there for a quick drink. When they got there, Delaney thought she recognized the family friend who owns the shop & told Kara & Maddy that she thought it was her but wasn’t positive. The owner then came to their table and said Delaney looked familiar and that’s when she told her that she’s Will Busch’s girlfriend. They chatted for a bit and then she asked if they all wanted to check out their new rooftop addition they’re opening since it was a beautiful day outside. They got in the elevator and as the doors were about to open, Kara told Delaney to hand her all of her things & that’s when Delaney realized that they were already at the final stop of the day. On a beautiful rooftop overlooking the city of Milwaukee and surrounded by the people they love most, Delaney said yes to forever with her best friend. They got to celebrate the rest of the night with family and friends who traveled from all over to be there for their special day. They can’t wait for August 15, 2026 to celebrate the next best day of their lives with all of their friends & family!
