After 3 date changes, 4 venue changes, 4 postcards, 3 guest lists, and more than a few glasses of wine, we we were able to tie the knot in September 2020 in a small ceremony surrounded by our closest family and bridal party. This year, things are different! We felt our day was incomplete without having a formal reception to celebrate. Please join us on September 11th for a night of dinner and dancing at Bishop's Bay Country Club in Middleton, WI. Thank you all for your continued support, love, and words of wisdom this past year. In June of 2016, Mike and Maria were set up by mutual friends and had their first date at Summer House Santa Monica restaurant in downtown Chicago. Mike likes to joke (although, he may have been serious) that he knew he fell in love with Maria when she put down her fork and knife, stuffed a napkin in her shirt, and went to town on a chicken drumstick during their first date. As they say, food brings people together. The rest was history.

April 21st, 2019 was a BIG day in more ways than one. Mike and Maria spent the earlier part of the day celebrating Easter with their families and then made the four hour round trip to pick up their new Vizsla puppy, Lucy. When they arrived back at Mike's condo in Chicago, Maria (with Lucy in her arms) was greeted by a sea of rose petals, 100 candles and a very nervous/excited soon-to-be fiance, down on one knee. To this day, Mike has said he's never seen Maria that speechless in the four years he's known her.
