Cedar Ridge Distillery
This is one of our favorite spots. The wine, whiskey, and bourbon are delicious and the food is great too! There is usually live music in the summer months. It is a beautiful spot and is only a 20 minute drive from the Courtyard Marriott.
Wilson's Orchard & Farm (Iowa City)
This is a great spot to walk around, pick delicious apples, get fresh homemade treats and craft beverages! If you go, you have to get the fresh apple cider doughnuts and apple cider slushy (those are the bride's favorites)!
Bluebird Cafe
If you are looking for a great local breakfast spot, try Bluebird Cafe. There are 3 locations (Iowa City, Solon, and North Liberty). The North Liberty location is the bride and groom's favorite! Breakfast is served all day! The groom would recommend the Breggfast Sammy and the bride would recommend the Cinnamon Roll French toast with a side of the Krakatoa hash browns if you are ok with a little heat! Don't forget a mimosa (the bride recommends orange juice for color)
Orchard Green Restaurant and Lounge
If you are looking for a fine dining experience, try Orchard Green. This is the bride's favorite restaurant in Iowa City. Mary always chooses this place for her birthday dinner celebrations with Aaron! The Sea Scallops and Filet Mignon are the bride and groom's favorite entrees.
Pedestrian Mall
This is a great spot to walk around downtown Iowa City. There are lots of fun restaurants and bars in this area. There is always some event going on. Watch out for the college kids though. They will back in August and it will be busy around there!
