As much as I would love to share some kind of romantic “meet-cute” story with all the little cliches, that is not at all what happened for us. Dating is a struggle nowadays. Anybody who has tried dating in the past couple of years knows exactly what I’m talking about. With neither of us having any real luck finding anybody out in the real world, we both resorted to a more modern dating tactic. We found each other through Hinge, a popular dating app, by the grace of God. We started messaging each other the last weekend of July, 2024 and our first date was on August 10th. It was a huge success, to say the least, and we've been inseparable ever since! We made it official later that month. On April 26, 2025 (HEMI Day), Craig told me that he wanted to go out to his property in Sylvania, Georgia (the site of our future home) to mow weeds with the tractor. I got dressed in my rattiest yard work clothes and we loaded up the tractor on Craig's trailer. I slept the whole way to Sylvania, but woke up when we reached the gate to his property. When he pulled up, he made a comment about how the truck was running weird. We pulled in and Craig got out to inspect the issue. He popped the hood and asked if I could bring his tool bag around. Half asleep, I dug the tool bag from under my seat and brought it to him. As I rounded the front of the truck, there he was, on one knee with a ring in his hand. Neither one of us remember exactly what was said, but we will remember that moment for the rest of our lives, despite what we were wearing! We are looking forward to living out the rest of our days together!
