Cheyenne and Brett have known about each other since junior high. Cheyenne and Breanna, Brett’s twin sister, were both apart of the education program Destination Imagination. So wherever Bre went, Brett was tagging along. Although Cheyenne and Brett never spoke more than two words to each other that all changed just a few short years later. Cheyenne and Bre joined the high school womens tennis team and Cheyenne’s senior year Bre ended up being her doubles partner. Just like junior high wherever Bre went, Brett was there too. He would try to be subtle, annoying his sister and messing with other girls on the team while Cheyenne was around but she could see right through the act! Eventually Brett worked up the courage to send Cheyenne a message and ask for her number. They texted back and forth all the way up until Cheyenne’s graduation. She was going to be attending college that summer in town and was wondering when Brett was going to ask her on a date! She finally decided that she was going to ask him and he said no.. TWICE! His excuse was she was in college and probably didn’t want to date a high school kid. But Brett came around, after some persuasion, and asked Cheyenne on a double date to the movie theater. The night must’ve went well for Brett because he decided he was going to ask Cheyenne to officially be his girlfriend just a couple days later. Since then, Brett and Cheyenne have gone to prom, been on multiple vacations, and even bought a home together in October 2020. This next chapter will be just as exciting for the two of them. Cheers to the Mr. & Mrs.
Brett had been talking about the National Sports Card Convention in Chicago, IL for months and was so excited to go. He asked his best friend Keaton and his cousin Sean to tag along too. In the beginning it was supposed to be a guys trip only and Chey was more than okay with that! But as the trip came closer, plans had changed. Now it was Chey, Brett’s parents, Bre, Keaton, Sean, his wife Lilli and son Nate all going to Chicago. Now Brett decided it would be a perfect time to propose to Cheyenne! After getting the Burress family’s approval the day came for Brett and Keaton to start heading towards the Windy City but made a pit stop in Indianapolis at Kay Jewelers to find the perfect ring first. Luckily, Brett already had about 5 different rings he wanted to look at with the help of Chey’s mom and sisters suggestions. Brett went in, found the ring he liked best, and was out of the store within 15 minutes! There was now 2 days until the special day and the night before Brett’s parents, Bre and Chey finally made it to the hotel. No one had ate dinner so they decided to go to the bar next door to eat, drink and hang out. Lo and behold, Chey had one too many and gets sick. Brett didn’t think the night before his proposal that things would turn out this way but it was too late now! Brett wasn’t to happy especially because everyone besides Chey knew what was happening tomorrow. But with help from Bre and Lilli, Brett managed to get Chey tucked in for the night. When it was time to go downtown and do some sight seeing, they made it to The Bean in Millennium Park by train and the park was packed. Lollapalooza Music Festival was also going on that weekend so Brett had a much bigger audience than he was expecting. Everyone got Chey set in front of The Bean for a picture and then Brett swooped behind and got down on one knee. The crowd started to circle around and watch too. Of course when Chey turned around, she said yes! They sealed it with a kiss and the crowd went wild!
