Can I bring a date?

Please limit your RSVP to the names included on the invitation you receive in the mail. Due to the historic nature of the Library, we have very, very strict capacity limitations and we already anticipate that we will hit this limit. Thank you for understanding.

What is the dress code?

Answer

Black tie/formal attire is requested for the ceremony and reception. This equates to floor-length gowns, elevated cocktail dresses, dressy separates, tuxedos, or dark suits.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Please see the "Travel" page for information about our hotel blocks where we have negotiated special prices for our guests. We highly recommend that you stay at one of these hotels as they are within walking distance of the Library.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is no dedicated parking at the Library, but there is a parking deck nearby located at 606 St. Paul Street Baltimore, MD 21202. We highly recommend staying at the hotels which are within a short walking distance of the Library. If you choose to stay somewhere other than the hotels where we have room blocks, we recommend you take an Uber or a Lyft.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?

Answer

The hotels where we have room blocks are within walking distance of the Library (~5-7min). As such, we will not be providing transportation.

Question

Can I touch the books?

Answer

Nope. Nope. Definitely not. Guests are not permitted to touch the books or access the upper levels of the Library. Many of the books in the Library are rare and/or exceptionally old. Please respect the history and refrain from touching.
