Our Story, Written by the Lord

Long before we met, the Lord was working in both of our lives in ways we didn’t fully understand at the time. Gabe had finished school and was working full-time, while Emily was serving the Lord at Crossings at Jonathan Creek during the summer of 2024. Gabe was chaperoning his church during their camp session, and Emily was a summer staffer. They had a small interaction at the gaga ball pits, and later Gabe tried to find Emily on Instagram, but couldn’t. It wasn’t until a dear friend tagged Emily in a post that he was finally able to follow her and quickly added her on Snapchat. Emily, of course, knew she was too good to start a relationship over social media (haha) so they quickly exchanged numbers and never stopped texting. On December 14th 2025, Gabe took Emily on their first date at a place in western Kentucky called Popi’s. After dinner, they drove around looking at one of Emily’s favorite things, Christmas lights! That same week, they saw each other four more times and continued to pray about intentions. As part of Emily’s internship, she served another summer at Crossings at Jonathan Creek, while Gabe continued working as a carpenter. After her internship ended, Emily went back to school, and Gabe began a new job at a community college, marking the start of long distance. They both knew it wouldn’t be easy, but they saw the Lord’s hand and faithfulness through it all. Five months later, Gabe bought Emily a beautiful ring and spent weeks praying over it. On January 10th, 2026, he asked Emily to be his bride at the very place they first met—Crossings at Jonathan Creek. Our love story is just a small part of the greatest love story Christ has shown us. We are so excited to become one and continue living our lives for Jesus. This day is first and foremost about the Lord. We are so excited to celebrate the covenant of marriage that He designed and to worship Him for His faithfulness in bringing us together. Thank you for being a part of this joyful day and we pray it reflects His love and brings Him glory!
