Question

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Answer

Our ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00pm so we request guests plan to arrive no earlier than 3:15pm but no later than 3:45pm. As this is an outdoor wedding, it will be very disruptive if you arrive during the ceremony.

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?

Answer

RSVPs will be taken online. Once formal invitations are sent, there will be a separate tab added on the website for you to RSVP.

Can I take pictures?

Answer

Our ceremony will be unplugged to ensure our photographers are able to do their best work in capturing our big day. We kindly ask that all guests refrain from taking pictures or videos during the wedding ceremony. Please avoid blocking the view of our professional photographers who will be capturing every moment. Feel free to take as many pictures and videos after the ceremony.

What is the easiest way to get to and from your wedding venue.

Answer

Our venue is approx. 40 miles outside of Colorado Springs. Unfortunately there is no shuttle or public transportation available.

Is there parking available near your wedding venue(s)?

Answer

Yes! We will be getting married on Vanessa's family ranch. Parking is available, however it will be in a field. The reception will be held at a different location that will also have parting in a field.

Will your wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will be held outdoors. The reception will be held indoors.

What is the dress code for your wedding?

Answer

Dressy Casual: We want you to be comfortable but still a little dressed up. The grass can be soft, so please rethink the stilettos

What is the weather like in the area?

Answer

In Yoder, Colorado, the average temperature in June is around a high of 81°F and a low of 50°F. The ceremony will be held outside with little to no shade.

Am I allowed to bring a plus one?

Answer

When you RSVP, it will show the number of seats that we have reserved for you.

Am I allowed to bring my children?

Answer

Yes! Many of our guest have children. We have attempted to include all of them in our guest list and RSVP section. However, if you dont see your child listed, please reach out to Andy or Vanessa so we can make sure to have a seat for them. Please also keep in mind that there will be animals at the wedding and it will be an outdoor venue. Please make sure you keep an eye on your kiddos.

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

Answer

Vanessa's family will be providing food. When you go to RSVP, you will be asked if you have an allergy that we need to be aware of to ensure that we can steer you away from that food during the day off. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate all dietary preferences.

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We will be supplying water, soda, and beer. Please remember that you will have a 40 mile (1 hour) drive back to Colorado Springs as there are no available accommodations in Yoder. If you would like a cocktail, please bring your own liquor, but please drink responsibly.

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding?

Answer

Feel free to take all the photos you want before the ceremony starts as well as at the reception. We have taken the time to hire two photographers that will make sure to capture all the details of our wedding and will be sharing photos with everyone. We would like you to relax and be in the moment with us, so please do not take pictures once the ceremony starts.

Are there any hotels near the ceremony location?

Answer

Unfortunately there are not. Our ceremony and reception will be held in Yoder which is a rural part of Colorado. The nearest city is Colorado Springs. Here you will find plenty of hotels.

Where should I sit?

Answer

The first two rows of seats at our ceremony will bar reserved for immediate family but all others are open seating. There will also be tables reserved for immediate family during the reception, all others will also be open seating.
