Ridley Creek State Park is a 2,606-acre Pennsylvania state park in Delco that has provided public access to the natural wilderness since it opened in 1972, with hiking trails, picnic areas, fishing, bridle trails, gardens and educational programs. The region was originally home to the Okehocking clan of the Lenni-Lenape tribe. In 1718, a water mill known as Providence Mill began to grind corn. Over the century, the site evolved to include a grist mill and became known as Bishop’s Mill and later Sycamore Mills, which operated until 1901 when it was damaged by fire. Later an art community formed there. Explore the structures and remains of the workers' cottages and several outbuildings at Sycamore Mills entrance. Paved and unpaved paths with miles of trails! Visit the Colonial Plantation, a living museum to educate visitors on early colonial farm life on the historic Pratt farmland.
