FAQs

A place for a Chronic Worrier just like Megan. Hopefully this is the home of all the answers to those questions in mind.
Question

What should I wear?

Answer

This is one question I ask Myles about 20 times before we leave the house. We would love for all of our guests to dress for a colorful Formal Garden party! We love patterns, prints, and bright colors! We just ask that you avoid the traditional bridal colors of white, ivory, and any colors in that family. The wedding ceremony will be outdoor facing the scenic Neuse River. With that being said, with the time of year being May, the days could be hot with chilly evenings with that ocean breeze. The ceremony, cocktail hour, and the reception will be primarily outdoors with some indoor sections. We want to make sure that all of our guests are comfortable! Here is a link to a mood board, just to help spark inspiration! https://www.canva.com/design/DAGwLNh9UqU/RnyM8XDQgWaGRo3yTH1IsA/edit?utm_content=DAGwLNh9UqU&utm_campaign=designshare&utm_medium=link2&utm_source=sharebutton

Question

What about my kids?

Answer

Due to the fact that our venue is right by open water and does not have any safety barriers, we are asking that only school aged children join us for the day. As much as we adore your little ones, we won't be able to accommodate infants or toddlers - even when they are with a parent. It is about safety, and making sure the celebration goes as smooth as possible. We will have small activities for them to do to keep busy during the ceremony/reception. If at anytime they need a mental break, there are quiet spaces on the grounds, as well as a swing for you to take them to!

Question

Can I bring a plus 1?

Answer

At this time we are unable to accommodate any other guests at our venue space. If your plus one is not on the invite, we are unable to have them at our wedding.

Question

What is the parking situation like?

Answer

Parking on property is very limited! We ask that all guests carpool with as many people as possible, or find an uber to the venue! There is an extremely low amount of parking spots on property. On the RSVP please let the bride and groom know your planned transportation method that way we can make sure everyone will have a spot!

Question

What if I hate dancing?

Answer

Well you know what, us as well! We are currently planning on having loads of personalized games for our guests to play. We love finding ways to have everyone included.
