FAQs

FAQ will be updated often as we get more questions we likely never thought of.
Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

August 20th, 2026

Question

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

We are incredibly thankful for the time and effort many of you are making to travel and celebrate with us. For those who have asked about a registry, we’ve chosen to keep things simple with a honeymoon fund through Honeyfund. https://www.honeyfund.com/site/ burke-davis-09-20-2026

Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Creative Cocktail! Flamingo or Alligator? We’re leaning into the spirit of old Florida, slightly retro, a little funky, and effortlessly elevated. Think bold prints, pinks, greens, great textures, and outfits that feel like you, just dressed up for the occasion. September in St. Augustine Beach will still be warm, so dress accordingly, but we kindly ask that you skip ultra-casual pieces (yes, we’re looking at you, dry-fit fishing shirts). We want everyone to feel comfortable and look incredible in photos. If weather permitted, the ceremony will be on the beach. Shoes optional. Heels may sink into the sand.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

Due to space and planning considerations, we’re only able to accommodate the guests listed on each invitation. Thank you so much for understanding. We can’t wait to celebrate with you.

Question

Are kids welcome?

Answer

To allow all guests to fully relax and enjoy the evening, we’ve chosen to make our celebration adults-only, with the exception of children involved in the ceremony. We appreciate your understanding and can’t wait to celebrate together.

Question

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

The Floridian is known for being incredibly friendly to a variety of dietary preferences, including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free. We’ve made sure there will be plenty of options so everyone can enjoy the meal.

Question

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

The Floridian does have a parking lot available for guests. We are also looking into transportation between the beach ceremony (less than a mile away) and the reception to make things as seamless as possible. More details to come.

Question

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

We’d love for our friends and family to take full advantage of the incredible food and bar scene in St. Augustine while you’re in town. At this time, we don’t have a formal rehearsal dinner planned for Saturday the 19th. That said, for anyone who wants to keep the celebration going, we’ll likely be heading downtown or over to West King after to continue the festivities. Feel free to join us!

Question

Where should we stay?

Answer

There are several great neighborhoods in and around St. Augustine with a wide range of accommodations. Our ceremony and reception will take place on St. Augustine Beach, while many of the bars and restaurants are located downtown. Both areas are convenient depending on what you’d like to prioritize. Rideshare services like Uber are readily available and encouraged, especially if you plan to enjoy a few cocktails.

Question

Wedding Party?

Answer

We have no wedding party, just us.

Question

Hurricane Season?

Answer

September can be an extremely warm month in Florida. Between June and November there is always the chance of tropical storms and hurricanes. While most Floridians don’t panic below a Category 4, we suggest purchasing trip insurance for hotels and transportation in the event of a major storm. We hope that’s not the case, but always better to have a plan!

Question

Why a wedding/party on a Sunday?

Answer

Saturday is too busy.
