It all started in math class in the 8th grade. I was a class clown and Eimy laughed at all my jokes. We were friends then, but the spark came when we met randomly at the infamous Dekalb Corn Fest. We got on one ride together and all I could do was look at her the whole time (mostly because she was screaming), but I knew something was there. Nothing came of it as we were still young and I moved to Wisconsin halfway through highschool. Fast forward a couple years, we lost connection but remained friends on social media. One day she posted a picture of herself and all the strong feelings I had for her started flooding back to me, I got the urge to text her “hello gorgeous”, and that was the best decision I ever made in my life. She truly was the answer to my prayers. Now I have a loving, supportive, funny, and beautiful best friend, soon-to-be wife. -D
