No! Seattle has too many beautiful and varied places to stay. We highly recommend checking out Air BnB (enjoy your Sleepless in Seattle moment and get a houseboat!) or you can never go wrong with a hotel downtown. We've had loved ones stay at the Olympic Fairmount and Hotel Lotte and they enjoyed it. If you want us to look over places that you're unsure about just shoot either of us an email or text.
Cocktail attire! The ceremony will be outside so we highly recommend lighter layers, sunglasses, and sunscreen.
We highly recommend using Uber for our wedding. With an open bar and the wedding in the city, we just feel like it's a better option. If you would like to drive, there are only about 10 parking spots outside the ferry and limited street parking.
We are requiring that all guests be vaccinated and, ideally, boosted to attend our wedding. At this time King County and Seattle currently maintain "low COVID-19 community levels" according to the CDC and as such, we are hopeful that masking will continue to be optional. We will send updates to all invited parties if this changes.
We ask that guests aim to arrive by 5:45. The ceremony will begin at 6:00pm.
At this time we are still figuring out our plans for catering but if you have a known allergy or intolerance, please RSVP online. There is a spot where you will be able to fill in your intolerances so we can do everything in our power to accommodate you.
No! The Skansonia is permanently moored in it's spot, you are free to enter and leave throughout the night. It is still a boat and subject to swaying, however. If you find that you get easily motion-sick or sea-sick, we recommend bringing a Dramamine or something to alleviate your discomfort.
