The first trip Brad and Heather ever took together was to Providence and Newport, Rhode Island. Two years later, Brad planned a trip for the two of them to go back. When they arrived in Providence, Brad surprised Heather with a beautiful gondola ride on the Providence River. There was champagne, a mandolin musician - the essence of romance. But Brad didn't propose. After the boat ride, Brad asked Heather to take a stroll. The two walked a few blocks to the College Street Bridge. "This is a famous bridge in Rhode Island," Brad lied. Sitting on the bridge was a man with a professional camera. "And that's the man who's going to scam you while taking your picture on this famous bridge," Heather retorted (spoken like a true New Yorker). That's when Brad got down on one knee and asked Heather to spend forever with him. She, of course, said "yes." As for the photographer on the bridge... Brad hired him to capture it all on camera.
