Our story started sophomore year at Binghamton University, where we lived on the same floor in the dorms. At the time, we were just two people sharing a friend group — in which our roommates happened to be dating. We quickly became close, spending time together and getting to know each other over the course of many months. Somewhere along the way, our friendship quietly grew into something more. At the beginning of the next semester, we went on our first date...on Valentine’s Day (encouraged by our roommates to double date with them). It might seem like a bold choice for a first date, but it ended up being the perfect start. What began as one dinner quickly turned into hours of conversation and laughter, and from that point on, we’ve been together ever since. After college, Brandon began his long journey through medical school and residency, while Emily started her career and briefly moved to Los Angeles. Even with the distance, we supported each other through every step.  Eight years later, we began that next chapter. We moved to the city together and started building our life side by side. Then came one of our favorite milestones — getting engaged at The Fulton restaurant overlooking the Brooklyn Bridge. Looking back, it’s amazing how living on the same dorm floor sophomore year led us here. What started with a slightly awkward double date with our roommates on Valentine’s Day has grown into years of memories, milestones, and a life we’re so excited to continue building together.
