The Wedding Website of Julie Clark and Alex Burgos
Here you will find some frequently asked questions about our wedding. If you have any other questions, please reach out to either Julie or Alex!
Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

Our wedding ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30. Once the ceremony begins, guests will not be able to join the proceedings until cocktail hour. We recommend arriving no later than 5:15 to ensure that you are able to join the ceremony.

Question

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Weather permitting, our ceremony will take place outdoors. Cocktail hour and the reception will take place indoors, and there is a large outdoor terrace that will be available for use throughout the duration of the evening. If weather does not allow for an outdoor ceremony, the ceremony will be moved indoors.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

We are asking guests to dress in semi-formal attire. This can include, but is not limited to, cocktail dresses and suits and ties. Please avoid very light colors such as white, cream, ivory, and champagne. Please keep in mind that if an outdoor ceremony is possible, guests will need to walk briefly on soft grass.

Question

Is parking available at the wedding venue?

Answer

Yes, you may park at the venue for free, and you may leave your car overnight if necessary. Uber and Lyft will be available in the area.

Question

Are there hotel room blocks reserved?

Answer

Yes, we have room blocks at the Hampton Inn Gainesville/Haymarket and the Marriott SpringHill Suites Haymarket/Gainesville. Links to the reservation are listed on the travel tab.

Question

Can I take pictures during the ceremony?

Answer

We are asking guests to please silence and put away cell phones and cameras during the procession and ceremony. However, we would love for you to take and share photos and videos after the ceremony!

Question

Are children invited?

Answer

While we love your children, we regretfully cannot accommodate them at the venue due to restricted numbers.

Question

Will there be an open bar?

Answer

We will have an open alcohol bar throughout the evening, as well as open soft drinks, coffee, tea, and water.

Question

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Answer

Due to the venue's Banquet ABC license, guests are not permitted to bring their own alcohol.

Question

What can I expect to be served for dinner?

Answer

We will have a plated dinner with chicken and steak, a starch, and a vegetable. The chicken and steak will be on the same plate. There will also be passed hors d'oeuvres, bread, a salad course, and dessert. A mushroom and parmesan risotto entree will also be available for our vegetarian guests. If you have any dietary restrictions, please reach out to either Julie or Alex to ensure that you will have a meal that fits your requirements.

Question

What is the best way to RSVP?

Answer

An RSVP card will be provided in your invitation. Please send this back in the pre-printed return envelope as soon as possible so we can notify the venue and catering that you are able to attend our wedding.

Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

Our RSVP deadline is September 22, 2023. This is a firm deadline due to catering requirements. We can't wait to see you at our wedding!

Question

Can I bring a guest?

Answer

If your guests name is listed on your invitation, then yes! Otherwise, we would love to keep the wedding as an intimate event with close family and friends.
