Our Story

Jake & Maddy met in 2022 up at Big Canyon Ranch. Maddy was working there as the Program Director, and Jake had come up with CenterPoint as a youth leader. After a week of getting to know each other and a bit of flirting Jake asked Maddy out on a date at the end of the week. The rest of that summer was a dream as they got to know each other and officially started dating. After only a month of being together the couple embarked on the challenge of long distance as Maddy moved to Tennessee for school. They spent 9 months traveling for hours to see each other, savoring every moment they got together, and spending countless hours on FaceTime. But finally, after a long 9 months, Maddy moved back home to Utah in spring of 2023! Maddy and Jake spent the next year dating and creating so many sweet memories in their home state. Some highlights include; drives up the canyon in Jakes car flavor of the month, sledding with friends (except for the time Maddy almost broke her ankle), and traveling with close friends! Unfortunately, in Summer 2024 life happened and the couple needed to spend some time a part to grow. Maddy and Jake broke up for a year, and while the year was difficult they wouldn't change it for a thing. During this time they got to explore who they were on their own and grow into the people God wanted them to be. Each of them were challenged and grew in ways they never knew they needed. After a year a part it was finally time for God to bring them back together again. After an awkward (second) first date and many hours catching up it was clear that it was time for them to pick up where they left off. In the summer of 2025 the couple rekindled their love story and have been in pure bliss ever sense. With so much confidence in who they are and what God was doing in their lives they decided to get married! Maddy and Jake are forever grateful for the people who have loved and supported them through all the highs and lows of their relationship and can't wait to celebrate what the Lord has done with you all at the wedding!
