Brayden and Burgin’s story began back in seventh grade, when their high school football teams, Liberty Center and Patrick Henry, faced off as rivals from across the river. Their friends had planned to meet up at halftime, and the two of them just happened to tag along. Brayden still swears that the moment he saw Burgin, he was instantly crushing, but being a middle schooler, he kept that crush to himself. Over the years, they kept crossing paths, as if life kept gently nudging them back toward each other. They even ended up in the same driving school class, where conversation always came easily and the connection was undeniable. Still, the timing never quite worked since they were each in different relationships, and whatever was growing between them had to wait. Then after high school, everything finally fell into place. At a party one night, Brayden ran into Burgin’s best friend and, without hesitation, asked about her, only to find out she was single. Not long after, Burgin posted a Snapchat story. Brayden took a chance and replied, and from that moment on, it felt effortless, like something that had been waiting all along. What started as a quiet middle school crush turned into something real, and from that day forward, they haven’t stopped talking.
