Josh and I met through mutual friends in 2018. The first time hanging out, we all went to a concert in Buckhead. That night, we got back to the parking lot and Josh’s truck had been broken into. Unfortunately, break in’s aren’t uncommon on Friday night in Buckhead. As we waited four hours for the police to show up, Josh and I had shared everything there was to know about each other. After that night, we hung out everyday no matter if it was an hour after work, a quick lunch date during our busy day or even just on FaceTime. (Josh hates talking on the phone, so FaceTime was a big deal!) From the start, Josh told my family “I am going to marry Sarah.” He wasn’t joking! Josh and I have grown together, getting to know one another, creating memories and most importantly enjoying life together with our sweet dog, Buck! We are so excited to see what God has planned for our future as we turn the page to a new chapter of our life as one!
It was my 21st birthday and we had a trip planned to Vegas. Well, COVID- 19 showed its apperience & made everything shut down and unsafe to travel. As far as my knowledge, I thought coronavirus had ruined our trip to Vegas but later found out it also ruined Josh's plan to propose. He had plans to propose at the Grand Canyon but he had to make a plan B! More things started to shut down the closer it got to my birthday so we ended up going three miles up the road to Chateau Elan Winery & Spa. Josh and I spent my birthday enjoying time together by having a spa day & wine tasting. It was a PERFECT day. Later that night we met his mom, Tabatha, and step dad, Jonathan, for dinner. We decided to take pictures before our dinner reservations! During which, Tabatha said, "come here Sarah, let me fix your earring." When I turned back around to take another picture, Josh was on one knee asking me to spend forever with him! Of course, I said YES.
