Question

Answer

To book your room, please contact our travel agent, Veronica. You can reach her by email: weddings@playadelcarmen.com or by phone at: 1-888-537-9797, ext 115. Mention that you are booking a room for Mike and Breanna's wedding at Sandos Playacar and she will provide you with information you need for booking your room including pricing, payment plans, what is included, etc.

Question

Our prices are locked in with the travel agent, so feel free to book sooner rather than later. At the latest, reservations should be booked with our travel agent by September.

Question

Answer

Although it is not required to stay at Sandos Playacar, it is highly recommended. Guests who choose to stay at a different location will have to pay a $100 day pass fee to the resort in order to attend our wedding. This does not apply to guests who are staying at the Sandos Playacar

Question

When are guests arriving/leaving?

Answer

Mike and I plan to stay at the resort from December 4th to December 11th, but please plan according to your available schedule! The big date will be on the 7th, so just make sure you're there for that :)

Question

Is the resort all-inclusive?

Answer

Yes! All drinks and food are included in the price of your accommodations. There are 7 a la carte restaurants and 3 buffets that are all included in the package.

Please come in casual attire. The ceremony will be in a grass-covered garden, so heels may be problematic. We encourage you to dress according to our color theme! Colors can be found at the top of this page!

Question

What airport do I fly into?

Answer

Cancun International Airport (CUN)

Question

How far is Cancun from Playa Del Carmen?

Answer

Forty minutes to an hour. Therefore, a shuttle or taxi will be needed.

Question

When should I request my passport?

Answer

Passport is required for travel. Typically, processing a new passport takes up to a couple of months, but also depends on the time of year as well. The best suggestion is to look into completing this task as soon as possible. All of the most up to date information can be found at travel.state.gov. or your local post office.

Question

How is the weather in December in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico?

Answer

Average Weather in December, the daily high temperatures are around 82°F.

Question

What is the currency in Mexico? Can you use US money in Mexico?

Answer

Mexico's official currency is the peso. Although the peso is the main currency, American dollars are accepted in many areas. 18-19 pesos is equivalent to 1 US dollar. Our suggestion is to bring small bills for tips and souvenirs. 1’s, 5’s, and 10’s, these are much easier to get change back.

Question

What's NOT included with my all-inclusive trip?

Answer

You'll want to bring a bundle of 1's and 5's with for tipping around the resort. Gratuities are technically included with your travel package. Based on our travel experience, you'll want to tip something to the bartenders and waiters taking care of you. Remember this is optional. Tours, excursions and spa treatments are not included. You can pay with cash or credit card for these at the hotel. All liquor is included unless you order a full bottle of a specific liquor. This will cost extra.

Question

Credit Cards and Cell Phones

Answer

Contact providers to let them know travel plans to avoid declines and high data fees.
