Of course, you're more than welcome to plan your trip however you'd like. That said, if possible, we kindly ask that you stay in Niterói (the city where the wedding will take place) from the night of August 27th through the wedding day on August 28th. This is because traffic in Rio de Janeiro can be very unpredictable and might affect your arrival on the day of the event. Traveling from Rio to Niterói can take up to two hours or more due to traffic, especially across the Rio-Niterói Bridge.
