1) We highly recommend getting travel insurance that specifically covers trip extension and cancellation due to COVID (with trip extension, insurance would help pay for a longer hotel stay, flight changes, etc) We usually look through Squaremouth https://www.squaremouth.com 2) If you haven't already, consider getting another booster to protect yourself, as BA5 is so much more contagious--anecdotally, Jessie had COVID three weeks ago, and didn't get a 2nd booster/4th shot; Bulent did get a 2nd booster/4th shot, and though Jessie coughed on him for several days, he didn't get sick. 3) Do bring your proof of vaccination or recent infection, just in case regulations change. 4) Right now we will probably ask you to self-test daily, but we are looking into how we will get tests, etc. More soon. 5) We are also working on having a doctor queued up in case someone gets sick. 6) Medical care in Turkey is generally relatively good and we should be able to get anyone who needs it access to the best hospitals. 7) All events are outdoors or semi-outdoors (the restaurant on Sunday night has one wall open to the sea and there is usually a breeze). 8) Right now, there aren't travel restrictions related to COVID; if that changes, and you need a test to re-enter the US, Europe, etc, we plan to arrange for a visiting nurse service to come to your location and do a PCR test.
Short answer is whatever you want. Bulent will be wearing a linen suit without a tie. I'm wearing a tea-length sheath dress and then a tea-length flared tulle dress. So even we will not be black tie, more festive summer party clothes.
Whatever you want! Jessie is wearing a long green sequin jacket thing and Bulent will be wearing either a linen suit without a tie or trousers and a blazer without a tie.
