Olivia and Ethan became friends freshman year of high school, but the timing wasn’t right until a couple of years later. After years of obvious-but-unsaid feelings, they finally decided to acknowledge the truth: they really liked each other. What started with homework dates after school quickly turned into picnics at First Landing, ice cream runs at Bergey’s, and endless nights binge-watching their favorite shows. Before they even realized it, a high school crush had quietly grown into a love story of its own. Fast forward a couple of years: a worldwide pandemic hit, and it was time for Olivia and Ethan to head off to college. They went from being just a mile down the road from each other to five hours apart. Neither of them could have imagined how hard it would be to balance classes, college sports, the distance, and their relationship all at once. They went from seeing each other every day to only being able to catch up over FaceTime… but they made it work! Five hours eventually turned into an hour and a half while Olivia and Ethan were both in grad school, which felt like a breeze compared to what they had been through before. But that didn’t last long because in August of 2025, Ethan made the move to Florida. Just like that, long drives turned into plane rides as they kept finding their way back to each other, no matter the distance. By this point, Ethan had heard just about every joke and question imaginable about when he was finally going to buy the ring. So finally, after months of planning and years of thinking about this day, Ethan got down on one knee and asked Olivia to marry him on the cold, windy day of November 28, 2025.
