We are getting married!

In 2019, Buddy and Rosana started playing soccer together. At first, their relationship was just limited to two players on the same team. They rarely spoke, only occasionally communicating on the soccer field. Buddy eventually asked one of Rosana’s friends about “the girl in the pink shorts,” but was crushed to find out she was unavailable. Still, he enjoyed her company, and they continued to develop their friendship. In their now-solidified friend group, Buddy opened up and showed their friends his true personality: goofy but open-hearted. It was a clear match for Rosana’s exuberant and loving characteristics, but alas, the timing was not yet right. Deep down, Buddy knew that Rosana was the one for him. He just had to wait. Eventually, his patience paid off, and Rosana was ready for a relationship with Buddy. To their friends, it was easy to see that Buddy and Rosana matched each other’s energies. Both are the life of the party yet the first to reach out in a time of need. Within their relationship, Rosana was quick to praise Buddy’s emotional intelligence, noting that his sensitivity and deep care for her brought them closer and made her feel safe. For Buddy, Rosana constantly pushed him and challenged him, helping to grow him as a partner and a person. Clearly, they belonged together. As the years passed, their relationship grew stronger despite the obstacles. Buddy cared for Rosana after her knee surgery, cheering her on as she re-taught herself to walk, run, and play soccer. Rosana supported Buddy as he transitioned and grew in his career. Despite the many changes in the world and their lives, their love was a constant, a foundation from which they started growing their lives together. They continued to host gatherings for friends, started to travel across the country, and of course, kept winning soccer championships. Now, Buddy and Rosana look forward to this next chapter. Rosana is excited to become Mrs. Glass and have her new mother-in-law close to her in San Antonio, while Buddy looks forward to the best present Rosana ever got him: a big family. And although they’ve already had several memorable firsts as a couple, they look forward to growing that list together.
