Can I bring a date?

Yes, you are welcome to bring a plus one. Please just indicate this when you RSVP

If you have any food allergies please indicate on the RSVP.

Do I need a 4x4?

Answer

A 4x4 is not required, but please note that there is a small sand road that leads into the lodge (+/- 1km). If you would be interested in driving on the beach over the course of the weekend, a 4x4/AWD SUV would be required as well as a free beach permit.

Are there any shops for groceries etc.?

Answer

Sodwana is a small town with not a lot of shops, so we would suggest bringing your own fresh food from home. There is a Kwikspar inside the park (and a few café shops outside the park) for the essentials only.

Where is the nearest petrol station?

Answer

The closest petrol station is in Mbazwana which is 20km away from Sodwana. Please ensure that your car has enough fuel in for the weekend, we suggest filling up in Hluhluwe or Pangola on your way to Sodwana.

What about Isimangaliso Park Boards Fees?

Answer

To enter the beach area a daily fee is payable per vehicle, per person. A suggestion is to enter the beach area together to minimize park fees.

Is it a cash bar?

Answer

The bar will only be open on Saturday and Sunday in the evening. The bar has card facilities and does accept cash.
