Whoa. What a feeling—to find your person, your ride or die, your one-and-only. Yep, we're in love, but it was a process, and we wouldn't change a single moment of it. David and Amanda met at Hillsong Church in Downtown Los Angeles in February of 2017 one late Sunday night. Church service had just ended, people were sifting out of the church, and as David and Amanda volunteered in stacking chairs, they found themselves in the same friend group, introducing each other. After meeting and chatting, David asked Amanda if she knew how to swing dance. Amanda started crushing. David thought she could be a cute....friend. Before long, David had swept Amanda off her feet and had gotten her number. To David, this number was solely as friends. To Amanda, marriage was just around the corner. ;) As time went on, Amanda quickly found out David didn't quite share the same feelings. I mean, after all, David was pursuing a career in entertainment. There’s no way he’d have time for a girlfriend. But Wyatt, David's roommate, was the most legendary wing-man, and started inviting Amanda to every hangout possible. And to Wyatt's expectation, Amanda's hope, and David's surprise, the two single pringles started to have feelings for each other. To kick these fluttery feelings off, Amanda and David went grocery shopping together, and soon enough found themselves going on the occasional date and hanging out in friend groups. By April, David and Amanda expressed feelings for each other. And, a painstaking three months of “friendship” later, David asked Amanda to be his girlfriend on a Burbank mountain top following the most delicious Thai dinner. From then on, the journey continued. Hiking, swing-dancing, cooking, road-tripping, double-dating, church activities, and watching Stranger Things occupied most of their spare time. With each day, the two fell more in love, and on July 6th, 2019, David proposed on a mountaintop. Now? Well, marriage! Heck yeah!
