The airport is about 20-30 minutes from the Viceroy and 30-45 minutes from El Ganzo
If you DON'T plan on doing any exploring beyond San Jose del Cabo I would suggest you catch a cab to and from the airport (Mexico does not have Uber or Lyft). If you DO plan on exploring Cabo San Lucas or farther up the Baja Peninsula to Todos Santos or La Paz, I would recommend renting a car at the airport. If you go this route I would urge you to make no reservation in advance. The best way is actually to go to the rental car building at the airport and use your consumer leverage to get competitive offers from American companies like Hertz, Enterprise and Avis. The reason for this is that American insurance companies do not cover you fully in Mexico, even if you buy coverage through a third party broker like Expedia. For typical coverage that we are used to in the US it makes sense to go with the insurance through the rental car company itself.
Shuttles will run between the Viceroy and El Ganzo.

Not officially, no. Saturday is wide open for you to do anything you want. Hang on the beach, go fishing, golf, play tennis, ride ATVs, lounge by the pool or take a day trip somewhere. Saturday is for you! (I have a feeling the groom might want to play some tennis, so feel free to connect with him if you're interested)
