Even though we had known of each other in passing, we had never actually met and talked to each other until this day. Morgan was leading praise & worship during a night of adoration for the St. James Young Adults and Ethan was training altar servers in the Cathedral. After being roped into serving at adoration by a mutual friend, Ethan and Morgan were introduced to each other following the event. A year to the day later, Ethan asked Morgan on a date, and the rest was history.

During a visit to Orlando for the wedding of two mutual friends, Ethan proposed to Morgan. He recreated their first date by taking her to St. James Cathedral's rectory chapel. After a few moments of prayer, Ethan got down on one knee and proposed to Morgan. Fr. Miguel Gonzalez administered the blessing for newly engaged couples in the chapel shortly after. Afterwards, they continued the itinerary of their first date by getting boba tea at a local shop and then continuing on to Mead Botanical Garden, where Morgan's dad and sister had set up a little surprise celebration for them.
