welcome to our love story

Brett and Alicia met when Alicia started a new job in October of 2017. Coincidentally, Brett worked maintenance at the same place. A coworker suggested they would "be a cute couple" and should go out on a date. After about two weeks of bumping into each other during the day, they went on their first date. The rest is history, and they have been inseparable ever since!

One week after we returned from our cruise, Brett told me he'd made reservations for dinner downtown on Friday night. This was a little odd considering we never really made dinner reservations, we usually just show up! On the ride there, Brett was acting odd and being extremely quiet. We were one hour early for our "reservations", but Brett said he wanted to walk along the river when we got there. When we pulled up, the train was passing and going incredibly slow, blocking our view and access to the river walk. Brett was not happy about this and slipped out "this is ruining everything". I just started laughing because I knew something was up. Once the train passed, we walked along the river for a minute and when I turned around Brett was on one knee! He asked and as I said yes, my close friends from my hometown came running up to surprise me. Brett had invited them without me even knowing so they wouldn't miss out on such a special moment in our lives! We celebrated with dinner and margaritas at Superior Grill!
