Our story

“Let’s rewind to 2018…” Like any good modern-day love story, ours began where all great romances do — on Facebook. Neither of us really remembers how we became friends, but let’s be honest — he probably stumbled across my profile, couldn’t resist my beauty, and hit that Add Friend button faster than you can say “mutuals.” We started chatting, sharing laughs, and vibing instantly. It was cute… until I suddenly ghosted him. (Still no explanation for that one — my bad!) Let’s fast forward through the next 5 years. Joelene calls it persistence, Buck calls it refusing to let true love ghost him twice! Okay, let’s be real – this guy’s dedication to trying to date me over the years? Relentless. Like, Olympic-level persistence! He kept sliding in over the years to check my relationship status – smooth, always respectful and way to charming to ignore. In all honesty, one minute I was minding my business… the next? I landed face-first in his dm’s. Weird how that happened. It was at this moment we knew… Our first date lasted 8 unforgettable hours – filled with endless laughter and conversation’s that flowed like we’d known each other forever. From that day, we knew we were imperfectly perfect for one another – a beautiful match in the most unexpected, and effortless way. As time went on, being together just felt easy – like we’d finally found what we didn’t even know we were missing. Every conversation brought us closer, every shared silence felt comfortable, and every little moment together felt like home. We weren’t trying to impresses each other; we were just ourselves – and that was more than enough. I knew I was going to marry her before we even met in person, and I told her that. She laughed, thinking I was crazy. Spoiler alert: I was crazy… in love. Which leads us to our special moment on April 7th, 2024 – her birthday, a day already filled with love but making it even more meaningful. My nerves were on edge and my heart was racing. Light rain had started to fall, pushing me to get creative. With our children by our side, I dropped to one knee… and she said Yes!
