We met on a late night at Red Eye Bar and Grill in New Orleans. Ross was there for his 10 year high school reunion and I ended up there after a random night out with friends. We met at the bar and not long after I remember his strong grip pulling me onto the dance floor. Apparently, we danced the night away. At the end of the night Ross got my number, kissed me goodbye and sent me home in a taxi. After a few days of texting later, he asked me a very important question...my name. And the rest is history!
After nearly 2 years of dating, we were back home in New Orleans for a weekend of family celebrations. Towards the end of our trip, we were headed to the Northshore for a family dinner at his mom's house. On our drive across the Causeway, I asked Ross why he was being so quiet to which he responded that it had been a long weekend. I agreed and thought nothing more. Once we arrived, we grabbed a glass of wine and headed to the back patio to greet everyone huddled around the fire. Ross couldn't wait any longer. Before I could tell everyone hello, I turned around to find him on one knee, opening a ring box backwards and asking me another very important question...will you marry me?
We initially contemplated many destinations for our wedding location - Mexico, Florida, New Orleans and North Carolina. I can't tell you how many different venues we visited, in different states! A short 4 months after being engaged, the Covid-19 pandemic hit - throwing a curveball into everyone's lives, and our wedding plans. It was an eye-opening time and it helped us to remember what was truly important - our love and commitment to each other. It was then that we made the decision to elope - just the two of us! Greece had always been on our bucket list and so it was decided. We are so excited to share our special day with you all through photos and videos, and hope to celebrate our marriage in person with you all very soon. xoxo R & R
