It is with a very heavy heart that instead of sending out the wedding invitations, we must instead send out/announce the postponement of the 2025 Downey wedding. Due to almost constant major expenses, and life just being life, we don't feel it's responsible for us to try and force a wedding by 11/8. We dont want to feel the need to do anything less than, or sacrifice anything we want to be a part of this lifetime experience and expression of the love and life we are building together. This is the first and/or last time either one of us will walk down that aisle, and we want it to be everything we envisioned and the best experience for our guests as well. We would rather wait and make sure everything is as great as it can be instead of just doing what we can and having any sort of feelings of regret about anything any way. This was obviously in no way an easy decision, and emotions are heavy. But this just means we have more time to make it even better. Here's to getting down with the Downey's in 2026!

Emily walked into Michael's looking for flowers for a DIY project, and a handsome customer experience manager did the whole, "Can I help you find anything?" line. She showed him the DIY project she was attempting, and from there the conversation just continued and they hit if off immediately! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ When we met, our love was traveling in different directions, but life has a funny way of showing you where love is meant to be, even when it's not the most convenient or easy. When it's meant to be, it's meant to be. Over 1,000 unexpected miles traveled, so many crazy life choices and decisions made years before ever meeting, that led us both to that specific store, that specific night. And here we are! And we couldn't be happier!
