Back in 2019, Justin and I met in church. We served alongside each other for months before we even got to the talking stage. It was until we both attended Forward Conference is when sparks flew... and then I accidentally rejected Justin when he finally got the courage to ask me out on a date. The next day I redeemed myself and we went on to watch Toy Story 4 in theaters. Its been history ever since!
For school, we planned a trip to Colorado to hike Pikes Peak. We trained for months prior but nothing actually fully prepared us in Florida to hike a mountain THAT big. Days before the trip, Justin kept complaining about sharp pains in his side and it prevented him from breathing. Like the concerned Girlfriend I was, I forced him to go to the hospital. They preformed all sorts of tests but the doctors couldn't figure out anything wrong. Later that week, we boarded the plane to the great state of Colorado. When we landed, we were in awe of how beautiful the scenery was. We drove from Denver to Colorado Springs and decided to just get acclimated to the weather and go walk around town. The next day is when we drove up Pikes Peak. We got to the top and I was so excited to see snow for the first time. As I was busy fan girling over snow, Justin was being sneaky and got mic'd up for the video that I had no idea was about to be recorded. As a group we walked up as high as we could go and we were so amazed at God's creation. Everybody was taking pictures and one friend offered to take a picture of Justin and I. As we took the picture is when he asked me the serious question of being his forever partner in crime.
