We met through mutual friends at the infamous Main Street apartment in Tarrytown, New York. I was "convinced" to join a vampire themed D&D campaign. I chose to play as a druid human. Dan played as a wizard gnome. After each gaming session, we'd try to sit next to each other while watching the newest Game of Thrones episode. On June 17, 2017 Dan invited me over to his apartment to watch Twin Peaks and order in Chinese food. After that, we couldn't get enough of each other, and still can't!

There is a photo of an outdoor stairway, lined with lampposts, in Montmartre, Paris that hangs in our bedroom. Dan had the idea to propose on that stairway, but when we arrived in Montmartre, he quickly realized that there are many similar looking stairways in the hilly Parisian neighborhood. We couldn't locate the one from the photo. (Although, on our last day in Paris, we did!) We wandered for a while, and almost haphazardly made our way to the front of the Sacred Heart Basilica. It was a beautiful spot that overlooked Paris, and because it was dark out there were very few tourists around. We stared out at the historic city, which was lit up and sparkling. He told me he loved me and how happy I made him. Then he said he had a question to ask me. You know which question, and you know how I answered! After many happy tears, my sister, Bianca, and sister-in-law, Deb, joined us. We met my brother, Ron, and mother, Judy, at bar around the corner, where we celebrated with champagne and macaroons. Then Dan and I had a private dinner (so much wine and steak!) at a local restaurant called Sacree Fleur. The entire evening was magical, and we were filled with so much happiness and gratitude.
